Pixelache
Pixelache is a transdisciplinary platform for experimental art, design, research and activism. It is an association of artists, cultural producers, thinkers and activists involved in the creation of cutting-edge cultural activities. Amongst the Pixelache´s fields of interest are: experimental interaction and electronics; renewable energy production/use; bioarts and art-science culture; grassroot organising and networks; politics and economics of media/technology; alternative economic cultures; VJ culture and audiovisual performances; media literacy and engaging environmental issues.
Hirvitalo Center of Contemporary Art Pispala
Hirvitalo is a non-profit cultural space that is based on the principles of openness and collective decision making. It is run formally by Pispalan kulttuuriyhdistys ry (Pispala Culture Association).
PinpinLab
PinpinLab (Pinpin means "sharing" in Yoruba, and also refers to the connectors of an electronic component) is one of CECULT/UFRB university´s extension project which proposes the development of workshops and lectures for the appropriation and technological recycling within a transversal perspective includes cultural processes and sciences (biology, food chemistry, computer science) based on the concept of citizen science, seeking to combine traditional and contemporary knowledge.
Created in 2014, PinpinLab results from LabUsotopico extension project coordinated by Prof. Dra. Raquel Renno at the Institute of Arts and Design/UFJF between 2011 and 2014.

Outras Tribos
Outras Tribos is a cultural association formed by members of indigenous people Pataxó together with non-indigenous allies. Outras Tribos is based in Aldeia Velha indigenous land (TI), Bahia, Brazil.
It´s mission is to promote cultural, educational and socio-economical actions, aiming to preserve the environment and territories, to value culture and history, as well as a sustainable local development of traditional communities, in particular the indigenous ones, by the technology and digital media appropriation as a tool to build and share local knowledge, to democratize the access to communication and information, to generate work and income opportunities and to empower the traditional communities.

Bailux
Bailux (Bahia Linux) has promoted and supported the use of free software and appropriation and recycling of technology in collaboration with young people since 2005 in Arraial D´ajuda, Bahia, Brazil.
