PinpinLab (Pinpin means sharing in Yoruba language, and also refers to the connectors of an electronic component) is one of CECULT / UFRB university´s extension projects which proposes the development of workshops and lectures for the appropriation and technological recycling within a transversal perspective including cultural processes and sciences (biology, food chemistry, computer science) based on the concept of citizen science, seeking to combine traditional and contemporary knowledge.
Created in 2014, PinpinLab results from LabUsotopico extension project coordinated by Prof. Dra. Raquel Rennó at the Institute of Arts and Design/UFJF between 2011 and 2014. I have been helping Dra. Rennó by conducting and planning workshop activities in both LabUsotopico and PinpinLab. |
